The Rennie family enjoyed a sport that was born in Scotland on Christmas Day in 1904. William Rennie was born in a log cabin in Scarborough. He grew up on a farm and became a successful seed merchant, educator, and writer. He lived in a house overlooking Grenadier Pond in Toronto’s High Park. His family took advantage of the cold weather to go curling there 117 years ago.
