The St. Andrew’s Society is running another Intro to Curling Social on Saturday, February 25. This event is geared towards beginners and will feature a combination of instruction and play. There will be drinks after the on-ice session to raise a glass with teammates and new friends.

Timing

The next curling social will be Saturday, February 24 (1:30-4:00pm) at the High Park Club (100 Indian Road). Players need to be at the venue for 1:30pm to register and get ready to go on the ice at 2:00pm.

Instruction will run for 30-minutes. This will be followed by 90-minutes of casual play. There will be four players per team with two teams per ice sheet. Players who sign up without a foursome will be slotted into teams. It’s a fun afternoon and great way to meet people.

Tickets

Only 40 tickets are available for this event. They must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $35 for Society members and $40 for the general public.  Tickets will be on sale until Wednesday, February 22 (while quantities last). Players must be ages 19+.  Tickets will go on sale in early January 2024. 

Equipment

All curling equipment will be provided. Attendees should wear warm comfortable clothing and a clean pair of running shoes. Players without clean shoes will not be allowed on the ice.

Food & Drink

The venue is licensed and the bar will be open. Attendees are responsible for their own food & drink costs. The onsite food options are limited to popcorn and a few snacks until the kitchen opens at 5:00pm. Feel free to bring something to eat for before or after the session.

Venue & Transportation

The High Park Club is in a residential neighbourhood. Onsite parking is limited so we encourage people to take a taxi, Uber or TTC. There are change rooms onsite but no lockers. Boots, bags and jackets may be left in the reception area.
