The November Project tells the extraordinary story of letters that kept a Toronto couple connected during World War Two. This moving musical theatre production was inspired by the wartime correspondence between creator Rob Horgan’s grandparents, “Horgie” and “Peachie.”

Horgie was stationed in Europe with the 48th Highlanders of Canada. His young wife remained at home in Toronto with their child. From 1943 to 1946, Horgie travelled across the UK, Italy, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Throughout the fighting, he faithfully wrote home to Peachie in Parkdale. He sent more than 300 letters that captured the love, uncertainty and hardship of life during the conflict.

Rob Horgan brings their story to the stage through readings from those letters. He is joined by Eve Goldberg and a ukulele ensemble performing classic songs from the era.

This event is presented by the St. Andrew’s Society of Toronto and open to the public. Advance tickets are $15 for Society members and $20 for non-members. Door tickets will be $30 pending availability.
