Annual Burns Supper
2024-01-19 | 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm University Club of Toronto
The St. Andrew’s Society looks forward to holding our traditional Burns in conjunction with the University Club of Toronto.
The event follows the time-honoured format with the Address to a Haggis, The Immortal Memory and Toasts to the Lassies and Laddies. Musical entertainment will be provided by Old Man Flanagan’s Ghost and piper Rory Sinclair.
Tickets (inclusive of wine at the table) are $130 for members of the Society and University Club. The price for non-members is $140. Only 115 tickets will be available for this event so don’t delay! This is sure to sell out.
Tickets will go on sale in December 2023.
The Burns Dinner is a formal event. Kilts and tartans are not mandatory but are definitely encourage. Those looking to get outfitted in Highland dress should contact William Glen & Son. They have a wide variety of sashes, kilts and other accessories.
The dinner menu will be as follows:
- Starter: House salad
- Haggis course with Neeps & Tatties
- Main: Baked Atlantic Salmon with a Dijon Almond Crust. Served with Lentils and a Lemon Beurre Blanc
- Dessert: Cranachan. Coffee/Tea
A vegetarian meal can be selected as an option for each guest during the purchase process. Dietary restrictions can also be noted at this time.
We hope you can join us in banishing the mid-winter blahs with some “richt guid” cheer. See you there!
