The St. Andrew’s Society is pleased to announce an evening of Scottish-Canadian hospitality. Tickets are $10 for members and $15 in advance for non-members. Door tickets will be $20 assuming it isn’t a sellout. This event is open to the public so please invite anyone interested in a night of Celtic music, culture and fun!
Old Man Flanagan’s Ghost will kick off the night with some great Celtic tunes between 8-10pm. OMFG have been inspired by bands such as Great Big Sea, The Pogues, The Dubliners and Flogging Molly. Imagine the smell of the sea, cold pints of beer, and boisterous friends sharing a laugh. Now mix it with a feeling of being welcomed into your neighbour’s home for a kitchen party, THAT is the essence of OMFG.
Paper Triangle will take over the stage at 10pm. Hailing from Cambuslang, Glasgow, Lianne Barr fronts this Leslieville trio that grooves around the acoustic fringes of contemporary music. Torontonians Mike Zimmermann & Rob Maurin make up the balance of this new group. Their set list will feature focus popular songs from Scottish artists.
The dress code is casual but kilts and tartans are encouraged! Guests must be 19+ years of age. Attendees will be responsible their own food and drink costs.
Tickets will go on sale about two months before the event.
